Booking Information
General
Our cottages and apartments featured are offered for self catering holidays on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday (4pm on the date of arrival to 10am on the date of departure), subject to the Terms and Conditions.
Booking Your Holiday
Once you have chosen a particular property, please telephone or email us to confirm availability. We will confirm the availability by return and will hold your reservation for up to five days to receive your completed booking form and appropriate payment.
Paying For Your Holiday
A deposit of 25% of the full cost is payable on booking. The balance is due six weeks prior to the first day of the holiday. When a booking is made less than six weeks before arrival, the full cost of the holiday is payable immediately.
Payment should be made by cheque, payable to Wester Ross Retreats.
Cancellations
Please note that once a booking has been confirmed you are liable for the whole cost of the property. If you cancel a confirmed booking, we will endeavour to re-let the property. If the property is re-let we will refund any monies which have been paid by you, less a cancellation charge of £20 per week booked. If we are unable to re-let the property, there shall be no obligation on our part to repay any rent paid.
Cancellation
We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover the cost of your holiday. Please contact our recommended insurance broker at www.travelfirst.co.uk
Furnishings, Equipment, Linen Etc.
Each property is furnished and equipped to cater for the stated permitted occupancy and includes major items of domestic equipment as listed in the individual property descriptions. Bedding (duvets or blankets and pillows) is provided but not always linen, so, unless otherwise stated in property descriptions, you must bring your own duvet covers or sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels, and cot linen if applicable.
Pets
Unless otherwise stated pets are welcome. Details must be supplied on the booking form. Pets must be kept under control at all times. A lot of our properties are situated in areas where sheep and cattle roam freely and care should be taken to avoid confrontation.
Cleaning
All properties are cleaned thoroughly between each let. However as only a limited period of time is available to clean properties, it is a condition of your let that you leave the property and its contents as you find them.
Wester Ross Retreats
Specific Terms & Conditions
- Wester Ross Retreats act only as agents for the owners of properties on this site. The hiring contract is between the hirer and the owner.
- The hirer is responsible for the condition of the property and its contents during the hire period (excepting fair wear and tear). The hirer shall make good any damage or loss and leave the property and its contents in clean and tidy condition.
- The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed the maximum occupancy level stated without prior consent.
- If you have cause for complaint or accidental damage occurs you must first report it to the owner/caretaker. If you fail to obtain satisfaction you must contact Wester Ross Retreats during your stay so that the matter can be fully investigated. Any complaint made after the holiday cannot be entertained.
- In the event of any property being removed from our list for any reason, we will endeavour to offer you a comparable alternative or a full refund of monies paid.
- The property owner shall not be liable for damage, loss or injury to your party or possessions, however caused.
- You will permit the owner or the agent at reasonable times to enter, inspect and if necessary carry out repairs to the property.
- Any pets must be kept under control, not left in the property unattended and they must not be allowed on the beds or furniture.
- The contract effected between the hirer and the owner of the property is in the terms of Schedule 4 Section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 and confers on the hirer the right to occupy the property for the period agreed for holiday purposes only.
