If strolls along a sandy beach followed by a trip to one of the local pubs is your thing or alternatively for the more seriously minded walkers tackling one of the many challenging Munros that surround this area of Wester Ross, then Beul na Mara is a fantastic base for your holiday on the west coast.

Am Fasgadh is a spacious detached bungalow in a peaceful idyllic location only 200 metres from the shore of Loch Gairloch. A path leads down from the house through the woodland to the waters’ edge, where it is ideal for launching small boats or kayaks. It has recently been refurbished and provides a comfortable and well equipped base to explore the area.

Otters, seals, eagles, herons and pine martins can all be spotted from the cottage. The cottage sleeps 6 and adjoins Shore House Two, and the two together would make an ideal base for a large party.

Valhalla - Strath, Gairloch

The owner will collect guests from Inverness Airport or train station at a cost of £50 each way, should you not wish to hire a car. He is also willing to drive you around the area should you wish.
Valhalla is a ground floor apartment located right in the centre of Gairloch but within yards of the sea - in fact you can walk out of the front door and sit in the garden watching otters if you are lucky, or catch your supper from the rocks. A fantastic location and close to all the amenities Gairloch has to offer. It offers superb views across the loch to the Torridon mountains with the beach in the foreground, and the Isle of Skye. The sunsets can be quite stunning.
