Sophie - Our pet Bearded Collie will give your pet a warm welcome Hello, My name is Sophie. I’m a Bearded Collie. Everyone tells me I’m beautiful, which is very true, although some people think I’m a Dulux dog, even though I’m wagging my big bushy tail at them.

Anyway I’m a very lucky dog because I live in Gairloch and can enjoy beautiful walks in the woods or on the beach whenever my Mum and Dad can find the time to go walkies. Sometimes I drag them up mountains, which is the best as they take a picnic, which I enjoy best of all. Dad and I always have to wait till Mum catches us up, which is fun ‘cos as soon as she catches up we sprint off again.

I am very friendly and love meeting other dogs so we can have a chin wag and I particularly like seeing cats ‘cos they’re good fun to chase up trees.

There is so much to do round here. There’s so many different walks. I like going up Flowerdale ‘cos there’s no sheep and I can be off my lead all the time. Of course, I’m super obedient so never a problem. And you can go swimming in the sea or frolic on the beach. And go to the pub. What a life!

Quite a lot of the holiday cottages allow dogs, so there’s no reason why your Mum and Dad can’t bring you with them on holiday and you will see why I enjoy living here so much.

Whatever you do though, be on your best behaviour at all times. It doesn’t take much to make cottage owners decide they will not allow dogs and, if that happens you may have to have a holiday in an awful dog kennels at home. And that would be a shame, as then you won’t have the chance to meet me and share my fun.
