This south facing detached cottage, formerly a croft house, provides comfortable self-catering accommodation for 7 people. It is situated at Udrigle, a remote cluster of croft houses in one of the most beautiful spots on the west coast. The shore is only 2 minutes walk away and is a rocky shore with sandy coves, where otters can frequently be seen. The beautiful beach at Mellon Udrigle is only 2 miles away. The cottage is set in a peaceful Highland community, amongst beautiful wild scenery with views across the sea to the high mountains of An Teallach. Whether touring the region or simply looking for peace and tranquility, you will find this an excellent base for your holiday.
The cottage has been renovated and extended and enjoys full double glazing. There are night storage heaters on the ground floor and electric convector heaters in the bedrooms.
Ground floor.The cottage has a cosy lounge with comfortable seating, Sky TV and an open fire (coal is available to be purchased). There is also an electric fire and a telephone. The kitchen and dining room is modern and well equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. The kitchen window looks over onto Gruinard Bay and the mountains beyond. There is a twin bedroom and a bathroom with bath/overhead shower, WC and WHB. A south facing sun porch completes the ground floor accommodation.
First floor. There are a further three bedrooms – a double, a twin and a single. A cot and high chair are available.
The cottage has a grassed, fenced in garden and ample parking.
Special Notes
Night storage heating on meter reading. Electricity on a £1 coin meter.
One or two pets and smoking are permitted.
Bed linen is provided, but guests must bring their own towels.

Directions
From the A9 at Tore roundabout north of Inverness, take the A835 to Braemore Junction, 12 miles south of Ullapool. Turn left onto the A832 signposted Gairloch/ Aultbea/ Dundonnell, and continue until you reach Laide (30 miles). Turn left directly after Laide Post Office and follow the road along the coast for about a mile and a half. A right turn, signposted for Udrigle takes you to down to the shore. Shenaval faces you on the left.
