The Stables is situated right in the centre of Poolewe, in a very picturesque spot overlooking the River Ewe, so combines both lovely views and the convenience of amenities close by. The building itself is about 150 years old. Poolewe is a very pretty village and has a shop/Post Office, a hotel/bar, café, indoor swimming pool and a village hall, which hosts a weekly market. The cottage is ideally situated for walking, there being many excellent walks close by, and there are many sandy beaches within a short drive. The world famous Inverewe Gardens are only 10 minutes walk away.
Gairloch, the nearest small town, is only 6 miles away and there you will find more shops, restaurants and hotels. From Gairloch pier, fishing and wildlife cruises can be arranged and there is also a golf course and pony trekking centre.
The accommodation is all on the ground floor (the owner lives on the floor above, but the access to his flat is completely separate) and comprises an open plan sitting room, dining room and kitchen. The sitting room has a comfortable suite and Sky TV/VCR and DVD player and an electric fire. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge. There is a washing machine and dryer in an adjoining outhouse. There are two bedrooms – a double and a twin. The bathroom has a shower cubicle with electric shower. The sitting room and double bedroom both look out onto the river. There is a private parking area and a garden with picnic table/benches.

There is gas central heating and gas and electricity costs are included in the rent.
Bed linen and towels are provided and are included in the rent.

Directions
Follow the A832 to Gairloch – continue on this road for a further 6 miles and you will reach Poolewe. The road crosses the River Ewe. Directly after this, on the left, is the entrance to the Pool House Hotel. Turn into this entrance but instead of going over the cattle grid, turn sharp left and drive down to the river. The Stables is on the right overlooking the river. You can park in front of the cottage.
