Gaidhealach Cottage is a detached traditional 100 year old cottage situated in a quiet position only 200 yards from Loch Ewe, and surrounded by croft land and open countryside. The cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard, and is spacious and comfortably furnished. It stands in its own garden where you can sit and enjoy the superb views of the mountains, and is only 10 minutes walk from the village centre, where there are hotels and a shop as well as an indoor swimming pool, and Inverewe Gardens.

This is an ideal base for touring the scenic West Coast and there are some lovely sandy beaches within easy reach, as well as some lovely walks along the River Ewe and up into the hills. Other local activities include fishing, walking, sailing, golf, nature cruises and pony-trekking. The nearest small towns are Gairloch (15 mins by car) and Ullapool (an hour away).

There is a very comfortable lounge with an electric fire, TV,VCR and DVD player. The fully fitted modern kitchen has washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, electric cooker, microwave and radio/CD player. Also on the ground floor is a separate dining room with solid fuel multi-burner and a second TV, and a large shower room with toilet and washbasin. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms – one king size double and one twin, and a bathroom with bath, toilet and washbasin. A Z-bed is available for a 5th occupant. There is a large fenced in garden with picnic table and barbecue, and parking space for 2 cars.

Full electric storage heating throughout. Electricity is included in the rent.
We regret that neither pets nor smoking are allowed.
Bed linen is provided but you will need to bring your own towels.
Nearest shop, pub and restaurant half a mile.

Directions

Entering Poolewe from Gairloch, continue on the main road through the village and you will see a caravan park on the right. Directly after the park, there is a road to the right, signposted Londubh. Turn right here and Gaidhealach Cottage is the second house on the left (approx 200 yards)
