Well the New Year is here, and winter has arrived at last. The mountains are snow covered after weeks of rain and wind. It all looks very beautiful. Christmas and New Year brought the usual mass of people hoping to enjoy the festive season in the Highlands and they weren't disappointed. The place is back to normal now, very little to report as not much happens here!

Hope you are all watching 'Love comes to town' on BBC on Sundays - it is a terrible programme but as it is set in Gairloch the scenery is outstanding and worth watching for that alone.
